Spring 2024: March 18---Current 6th graders/Rising 7th graders- Sign up for an instrument to play in person at the Meet and Greet held at RBMS on Monday, March 18 from 3-6!  Come down to the band room and write your name beside the instrument you want to play- it's as easy as that! If you want to play drums/percussion: you MUST audition for a spot. We have 8 spots available for next year. Come to the band room anytime between 3 and 6 to sit down one on one with Mrs. Webb to try out- no stress, no prior knowledge on drums required.

Important Dates, Fall/Spring 2023-2024

Required of ALL band students: Winter Band Concert: Monday, Dec. 11 2023 at 6:00 pm at Lenoir Rhyne University PE Monroe Auditorium.

Required of ALL band students: Spring Band Concert: Monday, May 6 2024 at 6:00 pm at Lenoir Rhyne University PE Monroe Auditorium.

Required of 8th grade band students: 2023-2024

Friday, Sept. 29: BHHS Football Game (Band plays in the stands during the first half, then watches the BHHS Marching Band half time show. At the end of the show, students are free to leave or stay).  Wear your band t-shirt! T-shirt information will go home the first week of school. ($15)

Monday, Oct. 30: Optional, but highly encouraged - All County Band Auditions

Friday/Saturday November 17 and 18th: All County Band Clinic (only for those that audition and are selected for All County Band)

Required of Jazz Band Students 2023-2024: 

Winter Jazz Band Concert: TBD at 7:00 pm in RBMS cafeteria (combined with the BHHS jazz ensemble)

Spring Jazz Band Concert: Thursday, May 2nd at 7:00 pm in RBMS cafeteria (combined with the BHHS jazz ensemble)
